Sony release 3D blu ray and upgrade other models
Sony at CES 2010 announced the first 3D Blue Ray player BDP S770, but it’s not going to be the only 3D-capable standalone Blu-ray player from Sony this year.
On Wednesday, Sony has announced the BDP-S470, a midrange Blu-ray player that will be scheduled for a firmware update in the summer to make it as capable of 3D. In addition, the company also will announce that the previous three products – a BDV-E770W, BDV-E570, and the BDP-S570 will get the same upgrades to 3D.
Apart from the 3D upgrade, the BDP-S470 looks to be very close to his predecessor, BDP-N460 offers a full suite of streaming media service (Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand, Slacker, YouTube), together with standard Blu-ray playback functionality. Press release also stated that Pandora will be added to the Sony Bravia Internet video platform in the spring.
